Costanza Barberini's eighteenth-century apartment is located on the second floor of Barberini Palace in Rome.

The Palace was strongly desired by Pope Urban VIII, born Maffeo Vincenzo Barberini (1568-1644), who rose to the papal throne in 1623 and remained there until his death. Formerly the residence of Cardinal Rodolfo Pio da Carpi (1500-1564).

Later it passed into the hands of the Sforza family and was then purchased by Cardinal Francesco Barberini in 1625.
