Musil - Iron Museum of San Bartolomeo

The Iron Museum, pole of musil, has seen its construction since 1984, when the Fondazione Civiltà Bresciana acquired the Fucina Caccagni to make it a museum-laboratory of industrial archeology.

The Museum illustrates the historical role of the water wheel and gives visitors back the characters and atmosphere of an ancient working environment linked to great craftsmanship.

The main purpose of the Museum is the interpretation of the territory from an environmental, historical, economic and social point of view. The restoration and functional restoration work of the mallet, the water wheel, the water division system and the hydraulic power systems of the forge along the Bova canal have recently been completed.
