FATA Museum
With an area of 2,500 square meters spread over two floors, the "FATA MUSEUM", a new scientific museum immersed in a natural area of ??over 80 hectares adjacent to the lake, was inaugurated in 2019 in Taverna, in the heart of the Sila Catanzaro. del Passante, located in Località Carbonello.
The name "Fairy" was not born by chance but is the acronym of the four elements of nature: fire, water, earth and air, and refers to the project of "The city of environmental sciences".
The idea of ??the birth of the new cultural structure is the result of a great synergy that has seen the Calabria Region, the Province of Catanzaro, the Municipality of Taverna as protagonists, with the scientific coordination of the CNR and has an important strategic value for the development local tourist.
Regarding the work he has carried out up to now, he declared: “in recent years we have worked hard in this direction. As far as tourism is concerned, we have focused on two directions: making our region more accessible, bringing it closer to the country and Europe and investing in airport connections that from 8 in 2014 have passed to over 60 today and trying to extend the tourist season also to other months of the year other than summer only.
