The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception is a Catholic place of worship in the city of Catanzaro. The church was built in 1254 in the historic center of Catanzaro, initially being consecrated to the cult of the Holy Trinity, while later it was dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, patron saint of the city.
The works lasted until 1763, when on 6 December, the then Bishop of Catanzaro, Mons. Antonio De Cumis, reopened to the public and consecrated the church in a solemn ceremony.
Among the works present in this place are the eighteenth-century statues of San Rocco, of Neapolitan origin, Sant'Alfonso, San Giuseppe, Addolorata and San Michele, the latter coming from the no longer existing church of Santa Caterina.
