Established in 2018, the Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation promotes contemporary art as a language for interpreting the changes in society, as a tool for dialogue between art, architecture, innovation and artistic research, and as a means of bringing an ever wider audience closer to the contemporary.
The action of the Foundation is characterized by an eye to future generations, by a dynamic context open to all and by the synergy with international partners and local interlocutors.
In the building that houses the Foundation, art and architecture work together to create an evocative place.
The geographical position, the particular natural context combined with the choice of materials and the intervention of international artists (such as Dan Graham and Robert Barry) make it unique. Architecture thus becomes a meeting place for anyone interested in the contemporary.
The Foundation hosts two annual exhibitions, one of production, dedicated to young artists already established internationally, and a retrospective dedicated to the artistic practice of a protagonist of conceptual or minimal art.
Key elements of the exhibitions in the Foundation are: the comparison with the territory - its traditions, its culture and its materials; collaboration with international artists and institutions, who are invited to Bolzano for the first time; the creative freedom that distinguishes all exhibition projects. The Foundation also exhibits a selection of works from the private collection of Antonio Dalle Nogare.
The collection, whose core contains works by the major exponents of conceptual, minimalism and Arte Povera, constantly sees works by contemporary artists, who interface in a conceptual dialogue with the great masters in the exhibition rooms. The installation is curated by the artistic director of the Foundation, Vincenzo de Bellis.
The “Live Foundation” public program presents a series of cultural experiences aimed at involving an audience that is different from time to time. The invitation is to discover the current exhibitions, thanks to collaborations with various institutions, both local and international, to organize dance, music, architecture and much more events.
To better accompany visitors on the exhibition itinerary, the Foundation offers guided tours of the collection and the exhibitions in progress. Tours are also available by appointment, customized according to the needs of groups of visitors. Admission is always free.
