Fosse Ardeatine

Fosse Ardeatine, site of the massacre of 335 prisoners perpetrated, on the evening of 24 March 1944, by German troops in retaliation for the 33 comrades who fell during the ambush carried out by the partisans in Via Rasella in Rome.

In this place you have the opportunity to see up close the typical tuff quarries of the area, which gave life to the well-known complexes of the Christian catacombs and to relive those unforgettable days.
