The Pasta Museum is an ethnographic museum dedicated to pasta, located in Corte di Giarola, between Colecchio and Ozzanottaro, in the province of Parma, an area historically suited to processing wheat.
The Pasta Museum, located on the first floor of the west wing of the Great Rural Courtyard, has been equipped with a mill since the Middle Ages, and was inaugurated on 10 May 2014 with the theme "Pasta between history, culture and gastronomy", commissioned by the collectors Ettore Guatelli.
The idea for its foundation was born around 1980 on the initiative of the poet Attilio Bertolucci and the entrepreneur Pietro Barilla, who began to collect a large number of historical objects and documents at the headquarters of the multinational industry, partly from the historical archives. of the company.
