Not many people know that a few steps from the National Cinema Museum of Turin, which is located in the splendid Mole Antonelliana, there is another exhibition space, namely the Radio and Television Museum.
The first project for the creation of this museum dates back to 1939, the headquarters of which must have been Turin due to the important contribution made by EIAR (Italian Radio Auditions Authority), which had the General Management and Research Laboratory in Turin.
The exhibition now allows a journey into the world of radio and television communications, between past and future, from analogue to digital TV.
It will be possible to relive the history of Rai through television sets of different eras, in which the public can "immerse themselves": images of the Sanremo festivals of the 60s, 70s, 90s and 2000s plus those of 2019 will be projected on four screens.
For the extraordinary opening, pay attention to the little ones: they will be able to go behind the scenes of the TV, play at being presenters, journalists, cameramen within the scenography of the Melevisione and visit the Turin TV studios, welcomed by a Befana and by an Elf in the house set up for the occasion.
