The TILT Association wants an interactive and multimedia museum, with the history of Italian and foreign pinball machines, told not only with playable copies but also with books, photos, videos, historical documentaries, and much more.
For now, the TILT SPACE, created in the Ex Oz factory in Bologna, allows the exhibition of a limited number of games which are about 400 coin-operated machines from 1830 to today, in particular of Italian construction.
Pinball machines, video games, mechanical amusements, machines that have disappeared from bars, but are part of our now social life.
SPAZIO TILT is now CLOSED but would like to reopen elsewhere and offer visitors, young and old, the luminaires of the collection, playable, but also to be observed and studied in construction and operation, free of charge. In particular, it collects appliances of Bologna construction.
In fact, in the 60s-70s-80s there was a thriving industry of coin-operated automatic games in Bologna. From the 'Zaccaria' of Calderara di Reno to the 'RMG' of Quarto Inferiore, dozens of artisan companies built pinball machines and then exported video games all over the world.
The project is to create a sort of interactive and multimedia museum, with the history of these machines, Italian and foreign, told not only with playable specimens but also with books, photos, videos, historical documentaries, and much more.
