Ethnographic and Witchcraft Museum of Triora

Conceived by the local historian Father Francesco Ferraironi, strongly desired by a group of passionate people from Triora, the Museum of Ethnographic and Witchcraft Triora was born also thanks to the contribution of a group of Genoese children, who have put their enthusiasm and expertise into it. .
A visit to these rooms is the best way to start an unforgettable journey that leads to the discovery of Triora, its nature, its history and its people.

Ethnographic and Witchcraft Museum of Triora

Born from the enthusiasm of the young people of the Campo Eco organized by the Municipality of Genoa in 1982-83 and from the immediate enthusiastic response of the people of Trieste, the Triora Ethnographic and Witchcraft Museum today collects many ancient objects - but sometimes still in use in remote villages of the municipal area, such as Borniga or Goina - which testify to a particularly lively and vibrant peasant and pastoral culture.

Ethnographic and Witchcraft Museum of Triora

Far from wanting to be just a sterile exhibition of objects, the Museum of Triora still invites, as in the words of the manifesto of the children of Campo Eco of many years ago, to visit the ancient town to explore its enchanting hamlets, where in some cases will be able to rediscover the use of tools noted in these rooms.

In this way, in contact with an almost uncontaminated nature, it will be possible to glimpse and breathe moments of an "other life", perhaps in some way more authentic.
