The Francesco Garnier Valletti Fruit Museum in Turin was inaugurated on 12 February 2007 at the headquarters of the Presidency of Medicine of the University of Turin.
It presents a collection of over a thousand artificial fruits "plastic artificial fruits" modeled by Francesco Garnier Valletti (Giaveno, 1808 - Turin, 1889) in the second half of the nineteenth century and the historical-scientific heritage of the Royal Agricultural Chemical Station, established in 1871 and in 1967 Turin operational section of the Experimental Institute for Plant Nutrition (ISNP).
The collections on display are therefore owned by the Turin operational section of the former Experimental Institute for Plant Nutrition (now CREA - Council for research in agriculture and the analysis of the agricultural economy) sold on loan to the City from since 2000 and subject to subsequent renewals.
