Bora Museum

The Bora Museum, located in Trieste and with free admission, is dedicated to the Bora, a very strong cold wind that characterizes this Italian city. The creators like to call it a "museum in progress", that is an unfinished and static space, but in motion, a bit like the wind itself, where it is possible to read up on the wind and read the works of famous authors, such as Rodari or Stendhal, who mentioned this Trieste wind.

There are two elements that distinguish this museum:

- the Winds of the World archive: a collection of canned (or bottled) winds sent by visitors, collected on vacation or from their own city, which are displayed to allow visitors to admire them.

- the various games available: how to cross a road with gusts of 100 km / h!

visiting the Magazzino dei Venti, or Bora Museum, is first of all an immersion in a small wind documentation center where you can find out everything about one of the most famous features of the city. Inaugurated in 2004, it offers the opportunity to leaf through books by contemporary and past authors who have mentioned the famous Trieste wind and to discover multimedia materials and aeolian curiosities that come from Trieste and other locations around the world.
