The Teatro San Domenico is the city theater of Crema. he first information on the Dominican presence in Crema dates back to 1294, but neither the place where the friars lived nor their numbers are known.
On the other hand, a donation made by the de Mandoli family dates back to 1332, who gave a chapel dedicated to San Pietro Martire and some houses to Father Venturino from Bergamo.
The information in the following centuries, however, is rather fragmentary: probably when the convent was suppressed the archive was dispersed with the impossibility of reconstructing in detail the religious and construction events of the complex.
