The National Museum of Musical Instruments is located in the Palazzina Samoggia, the access is next to the Church of Santa Croce di Gerusalemme), in Rome.
State-owned, since December 2014 the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities has managed it through the Museum Center of Lazio, and since December 2019 through the Directorate of State Museums of Rome.
Through musical instruments, the museum offers the possibility of retracing the history of music from antiquity. Along the way, which is being reorganized, it is possible to become aware of how the different musical instruments have evolved and modified.
