The Antiquarium Turritano is an Archaeological Museum of Porto Torres.
Inaugurated in 1984, since December 2014 the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities manages it through the Museum Complex of Sardinia, which in December 2019 became the Regional Museums Direction.
The exhibition itinerary is divided into two floors: on the ground floor there are mainly materials from the necropolises unearthed in the urban area, a section dedicated to statuary and an underwater one.
Upstairs, on the other hand, the finds from the central baths, the marble section and the municipal collection, put together by Mr. Emilio Paglietti between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, are exhibited.
This includes finds that cover a very varied chronological period, not all coming from the territory of Porto Torres.
