The Treasure Museum of San Gennaro is composed of works of art and donations collected over seven centuries of Popes, Kings, Emperors, famous and common people, kept in a museum in Naples, Italy.
According to studies conducted by a pool of experts who analyzed all the pieces in the collection, the Treasure of San Gennaro would be even richer than the crown of Queen Elizabeth II of England and the Tsars of Russia.
The Treasury is a collection of works of art, kept intact thanks to the Deputation of the Royal Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro, an ancient secular institution founded in 1527 by vote of the Municipality of Naples, which still exists today.
Today the donations are exhibited in the Museum, whose entrance is located on the right side of the Cathedral of Naples, under the porticoes. Visiting the Museum you enter the Royal Chapel of San Gennaro, where the two vials containing the Blood of San Gennaro are kept in the main altar.
