Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center is a cultural complex located in Baku, Azerbaijan named after the former President of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev. The complex was designed by British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid.
The cultural center houses a conference hall with three auditoriums, a library and a museum. The project is intended to play a vital role in the intellectual life of the city. Located close to the city centre, the site is central to the redevelopment of Baku. Houses, offices, hotels and a shopping center will be built in places bordering on the cultural centre; while between the cultural center and the main street of the city, the Cultural Plaza will rise, which will serve as an open plaza for the cultural center, as well as the welcoming space for tourists.
