Eleonora D'Arborea Castle in Sanluri - Fortress D'Arborea

The Eleonora D'Arborea Castle in Sanluri (Fortress D'Arborea) is a fortified military building of the Giudicati age in Sardinia. Its state of conservation is excellent, also because it has always maintained its residential function, becoming today an important museum hub.

It had an important historical significance as it was one of the strongholds controlling the border of the Giudicato of Cagliari with the Giudicato of Arborea. The battle of Sanluri was fought nearby.
