The Museum was born from the collaboration between the I.R.C.I. and the Municipality of Trieste and is spread over an area of ??about 2300 square meters and was built with cutting-edge criteria and technologies.
A selection of the exiles' household goods, mostly unpublished photographs and documents are exhibited.
The building that houses the museum also includes the headquarters of the I.R.C.I. same with the offices, the management, the library, the conference room and the multimedia room.
The museum was created with the contribution of the Italian Government, the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Province of Trieste, the CRTrieste Foundation and the Federation of Associations of Istrian, Rijeka and Dalmatian exiles.
ISTRIANS, RIVERS, DALMATIANS: a great people who, over the centuries, have shown that they are also A GREAT PEOPLE.
Winner in every field: science, art, work. And of thought.
Defeated only by the events of history that uprooted its roots and scattered the fruits with a massive exodus after the end of the Second World War.
But those scattered fruits created seeds and these sprouted all over the world.
