The Synagogue of Pesaro is located in via delle Scuole 23, in the area where the Jewish ghetto extended, in the center of the old city.
In the ghetto, established in Pesaro in 1632, there were two synagogues located in nearby buildings: one of the Italian rite (demolished in the 1940s because it was unsafe) and one of the Sephardic rite. The latter is still intact in its architectural structure with the seventeenth-century decorations and most of the original furnishings.
