The Synagogue of Siena, built in 1786 in neoclassical style, is located in the historic center of the Tuscan city, in vicolo delle Scotte, formerly "piazzetta del Tempio". The typology is typical of ghetto synagogues, without external distinctive signs, but richly decorated inside.
The synagogue of Siena was designed by the architect Giuseppe Del Rosso in 1786, in the heart of the Sienese ghetto, in the area where previous places of prayer stood. The Temple represents one of the few examples of architecture between Rococo and Neoclassicism in the area.
