Synagogue of Carmagnola

The Synagogue of Carmagnola, located in via Bertini, is a still intact example of a Piedmontese ghetto synagogue.

The Synagogue of Carmagnola, considered one of the most beautiful in Italy for its original furnishings, was built on the first floor of one of the buildings of the ghetto, established in 1724, to replace a previous synagogue, still in use in 1724 and which seems was located in Piazza Sant'Agostino. The new synagogue is mentioned for the first time in a document dated 1786.
