The Synagogue of Asti, with an adjoining Jewish Museum, is an eighteenth-century building located in via Ottolenghi, formerly the district of San Bernardino.
It is likely that most of the Asti Jews arrived in the 16th century, following the diaspora of 1492, from Spain, Provence and Reno. They were located along via Aliberti (in the San Secondo district) with short branches of some alleys on the left side .
