Villa Simonetta - Castelbarco - Albani - Quintavalle

Villa Simonetta-Castelbarco-Albani-Quintavalle is a historic villa in the territory of Vaprio d'Adda, in the metropolitan city of Milan.

Located in the Vapri district known as "Il Monasterolo", the villa was allegedly built on the ruins of a monastery by order of the Milanese count Giuseppe Simonetta in the 18th century. Passed to the Castelbarco family following the marriage between Count Cesare Ercole Castelbarco and Francesca Simonetta (1749), the complex was enriched by satellite buildings (theater, art gallery, stables) and a vast hypogeum decorated by order of Prince Carlo Castelbarco in the first half of the nineteenth century.
