The Pallanca Exotic Garden is located in the municipality of Bordighera, in via Madonna della Ruota, in the province of Imperia. It has one of the most important collections of cacti and succulent plants in Europe.
In 1861, Giacomo Pallanca left the traditional family business of olive production in Airole, in the Imperia area, to join the German botanist Ludwig Winter.
Pallanca will work with Winter for more than 20 years. During this period he also transmitted his passion to his son Bartolomeo who, from a very young age, decided to work with his father and with Winter.
