The EXMA (Exhibiting and Moving Arts), previously also referred to as Exmà, is one of the most important exhibition centers in Cagliari, it is today an experimental center for contemporary arts and cultures. Managed by the Camù Consortium - Art Centers and Museums.
It has been located since 1993 inside the former Cagliari slaughterhouse, with access from via San Lucifero, in the Villanova district.
The construction of the municipal slaughterhouse was completed in 1852 and its opening lasted until 1964. Its story was told in a research, accompanied by historical photos and related to the restoration, carried out in 2008 by the volunteers of the State Civil Service.
The EXMA hosts, in addition to many temporary exhibitions, the almost 650 prints of the “Nicola Valle collection”, created by Sardinian and Italian artists and donated in 1997 to the local municipal administration by the Valle heirs.
The EXMA can be the ideal place to host conferences, presentations, public and private events.
For important conferences or concerts of his books but also for his chamber or jazz concerts, our conference room, with one hundred seats and wooden vaults, has a unique charm.
Or the space of the former library may be useful, a large room that can be set up according to your needs.
There are many spaces dedicated to Events, Exhibitions, Didactics and Shows.
