Baraing Castle

The Baraing Castle is one of the castles of the Aosta Valley, located in the municipality of Pont-Saint-Martin.

Baraing Castle was built by local doctor and philanthropist Annibale Baraing after his marriage to White Delfina. It is the result of the typically neo-Gothic nineteenth-century style and is divided into a quadrilateral construction begun and completed in 1894, shortly before the death of the owner.

It, symbolically, wanted to be the heir of the old castle of Pont-Saint-Martin which was located in the upper part of the country, but with a nobler ideal of closeness to the people for which Doctor Baraing had worked all his life.
