Copanello from Stalettì

Copanello or Copanello from Stalettì (nicknamed the Pearl of the Ionian Catanzaro) is a fraction of the municipality of Stalettì in the province of Catanzaro, located along the Ionian coast of the Calabrian province south of the capital. It is bordered to the north by the Alessi river and to the south by the Lamia stream. It is divided into Copanello Alto and Copanello Lido.

Copanello is located in the center of the Gulf of Squillace, in the part called Costa degli Aranci or Costa dei Saraceni. It is located on the east coast of the Catanzaro isthmus. The northern limit is constituted by the locality of Squillace Lido (fraction of the municipality of Squillace) east of the Alessi river whose mouth is located near the Hotel Club Poseidon, in Copanello Lido.

The southern limit of Copanello is made up of Santa Maria del Mare (fraction of the municipality of Stalettì) and the Lamia stream. To the south-west, it borders the town of Stalettì while to the south-west, it borders the town of Squillace.
