Villa Ca' Vendri - Virtual Tour 360°

The Villa is located six kilometers from the center of Verona, in Contrada Vendri, a name that is meant to derive from Venus, since, in Roman times, there was said to be a temple, now under the church of San Zeno, dedicated to this Goddess.

Throughout Valpantena, which owes its name to the nearby early Christian Pantheon of Santa Maria in Stelle, there are many Roman traces; it seems that in the times of King Theodoric (in the 5th - 6th century) there were Roman villas in the valley.

Columns lined with base were found in the basements of Ca 'Vendri, and in the walls of the worked stones, evident recovery of a previous construction.

Before the construction of the Villa, the tower and the adjoining house already existed, which contained an Oratory and later an olive press.
