Ledda Estates (Tenute Ledda), which tells its story through 2 ancient and fascinating Sardinian regions such as Mejlogu and Gallura, starts from afar and from the family traditions of the Bonnanaro winemaker.
In the Mejlogu, in Italian "middle place", precisely in Bonnanaro where the vineyards of the Cantina di Andrea Ledda grow, evidence of a culture even older than the nuraghi have been found. It is a land exposed to light and wind where grapes ripen near the cherry trees.
His passion and tenacity in carrying on courageously, in spite of false age limits, and overcoming many operational difficulties, has allowed the creation of large vineyards that give excellent and important wines that fully reflect the territory where they are expertly produced.
An interesting peculiarity of this territory is that an 8-hectare estate is located on the top of the Pelao Volcano (730 meters above sea level), the only example of a vineyard on the volcano in Sardinia, which has given 2,000 bottles of an excellent Vermentino (Azzèsu).
The almost obsessive attention to the work, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, is rewarded by consumers and by the significant international awards that are increasingly consolidating.
The history of Tenute Ledda then continues in Gallura, with the Matteu estate located on the top of a granite massif: here the 12 hectares of vineyards are configured as a terrace overlooking the sea with an incredible view of the Maddalena Archipelago and offer an excellent Vermentino di Gallura DOCG (Soliànu).
Enjoy with confidence the red wines of great character, the delicate and fragrant whites and the Muscat, a real jewel of the production.
2 different stories in 2 different territories, but which have the common purpose of telling the emotions of Sardinia.
